To determine panels needed, multiply the surface area of your pool by 0.5. This equals the total surface area of panels required to raise the pool temperature by 10 to 15 degrees Fahrenheit. This calculation is based upon a south facing roof. You may need additional square footage if your roof direction faces other than south.
